For all of us whose local programmers don’t allow us to see all of Gordon Ramsay’s shows any time near their original airing, have to date had to really on the internet, whther it be torrents or video sites like Youtube. But as Youtube cracks down on copyrighted materials – access is getting harder and harder, unless your local broadcasters also broadcasts on the internet (usually only within the home country though)!

To the rescue come Channel 4, the UK station which airs almost all of Gordon Ramsay’s television shows (and was one of the first to also streamshows over the web). There is talk of a deal with youtube to display contents of Channel 4’s catch up service, 4oD, via the now Google-owned YouTube. Read more…

At the start of ‘The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos’ the broadcasters CBC will run a bio of their guest Gordon Ramsay. After that, in order to win a signed apron by the Great Chef, you will need to guess how logn it will take (minutes and seconds) for him to swear. Email your answers to thehourcontests@cbc.ca, with the subject line ‘Ramsay’!

Gordon has been a guest on the show before (thanks to my friends at Youtube) and for people who don’t know the show, it is hybrid of news and celebrity, with in depth conversations and dynamic production. We cover everything from politics to pop culture, and talk to everyone from world leaders to celebrities.

So in a few short hours – February 9 11pm local time, get your entries in and then check to see if you are a winner. I’m not sure if my entry from Australia is valid, but I’ll be trolling the internet tonight for a torrent or youtube clip of the show.

And who said that Gordon Ramsay’s language would bring about the downfall of society and culture – after all, you could win a free autographed apron!

To be clear, the website – says that they following count as swear words – bollocks, arse and roger!

Gordon Ramsay in ANOTHER Food Fight

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

For the second time in as many years, reports are that Gordon Ramsay will be again involved in the Great British Food Fight.

The Channel 4 show from the UK will continue following the “eat ethically’ theme and will again feature Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver alongside Gordon Ramsay as well as the newest recruit -Heston Blumenthal.

Gordon Ramsay - Great British Food Fight

Gordon Ramsay’s contribution will be a call for Brits to start patronising local restaurants. Gordon will also be bringing his restaurant running experience to the aid of local eateries who are struggling with the current economic client. Unfortunately, it won’t be in time to save one of his Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’ restaurants who have already succombed. See Another Gordon Ramsay lover Goes Under for the details on that one!

Gordon Ramsay also Has another new showing coming in 2009 Ramsay’s Great British Nightmare, which sounds like it has a similar theme to his contribution to the aforementioned show. It may even be part of the show, the reports on the web and the Channel 4 site are a little confusing.

For a full wrap of the program and how the four star chefs will be contributing, go to the source – Channel 4 at their website.

The show airs in January and will no doubt be hitting the torrents and youtube shortly after, so the rest of the planet can enjoy it!

Gordon Ramsay and Hell’s Kitchen USA are Back

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

It has been confirmed that the top rating show Hell’s Kitchen will be returning to television screens (not to mention youtube and torrent sites for all of us addicted overseas viewers!) in January of 2009.

According to the Fox website, Season 5 of Hell’s Kitchen will air Thursday January 29 at 9pm / 8pm Central Time

This show was apparently filmed right after the fourth season, and will air despite claims by some news outlets that reported shooting had been cancelled or postponed.

Casting for seasons 6 and 7 were held throughout the United States in October of this year and we can possibly expect to see another by the end of the year along with a new Kitchen Nightmares UK, Kitchen Nightmares USA and a new show called Man Camp.

Let’s hope that Gordon isn’t being overexposed (no pun intended!)

Gordon Ramsay continues with the ‘Happy Family’ Image

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

It seems that the Gordon Ramsay Brand is pushing on with the ‘family theme’ as evidenced by the latest ad featuring the entire family. This is despite some ‘experts’ claiming that the allegations made by Sarah Symonds (and now other women) would destroy his wholesome image.

This latest campaign (which we would assume was recorded before the scandal) features Gordon and Family around a Christmas tree, stating their Christmas shopping list. The full 30 second ad appears on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5GohC-GpL4), on the ‘Taste of Christmas’ account page.

More information on the live cooking event, being held in London on December 4-7 can be found at www.tasteofchristmas.com

It seems that there is still nothing official from the Gordon Ramsay Camp on the scandal, short of the soundbites taken from various other live cooking performances, including the Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong live television show. The Story According to Gordon (Ramsay) – Well, sort of …. (http://www.theplonkerclub.com/wordpress/9/the-story-according-to-gordon-ramsay-%e2%80%93-well-sort-of-%e2%80%a6/) summarises the best of ‘unofficial’ response!
