Another Award for Gordon Ramsay – not for cooking or swearing

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

With all of the bad press Gordon Ramsay has been copping lately, one would be forgiven for thinking that his latest award could be something negative. Recently Gordon Ramsay has won or made the top ten in best looking as well as ugliest man surveys – not to mention his no regulation Michelin stars and other culinary prizes.

This prize however, is another on his mantle for television. Only a few weeks ago Gordon rRmsay won a broadcast award for Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live. The award was for Best New Programme at this and according to the Optomen website (producers of many Gordon rRmsay shows) ““Brave” was the word that cropped up most frequently in comments from the judges on one of the year’s biggest live TV events. I don’t think this was chosen necessarily because one of the episodes aired only days after the Sarah Symonds allegations of infidelity. At the start of that episode Gordon Ramsay even says “well, it’s been a tough week but…” and then just got on with the show!

other comments from the article (which can be seen in full at http://www.optomen.com/newsitem.aspx?content=898) include – Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live was a refreshing change from the studio-dominated cookery format and it was this, plus the level of interactivity, that pushed it ahead of the competition.

The ambitious, interactive set-up had the potential to be a logistical nightmare for the show’s producers, prompting one judge to comment that Cookalong Live was ”an innovative and risky way of involving the viewer.” Another went further, describing the show as “inclusive of the whole nation”.”

Optomen Television was also shortlisted for Best Popular Factual Programme for Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and for Best Independent Production Company.

The 10 Commandments According to Gordon Ramsay

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

I came across a strange article entitled “Let us F%$king Pray” about how one church is now using Gordon Ramsay’s life story to re-inforce the “word of god’. Have you ever met a religious person who couldn’t swing any story around to being a case for THEIR god?

The article appeared in Scotland on Sunday at the following link http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/uk/Let-us-f6437ing-pray-Ramsay.4911049.jp

While the article is somewhat funny (and doesn’t mention accusations by Sarah Symonds of infidelity) the highlight is the part on how to obey the laws of Gordon

Gordon Ramsay’s 10 Commandments:

1 In my kitchen you will do as you are f****** well told.

2 Thou shall not use my image (unless I have signed a five-year merchandising deal with your chief executive).

3 Do not claim anything in my shows was staged or I will sue thy sorry arse for all it is worth.

4 Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbour (unless it’s that bloody arse of a food critic AA Gill).

5 Thou shall not worship false gods like Delia Smith, Nigella Lawson or Heston Blumenthal.

6 Thou shall not refer me to as “craggy faced”. I’m rugged and manly.

7 Respect your elders, apart from that stuck-up old tart Joan Collins.

8 You may only curse or blaspheme on days of the week that end with a ‘y’.

9 Be respectful to vegetarians and always remove their sandals before basting them with brown sugar and serving them up for dinner.

10 Be kind to lesser beings. Dispatch cockroaches, snooping tabloid journalists and restaurant reviewers humanely.

The comments below are a little funny – and littered with bad arguement supporting why god exists (guess where I sit on this one!!) My favourite logical fallacy is the false Dichotomy – in this case if you can’t explain who X happened then it musy be (my) god.

Anyway while I stop short of calling Gordon Ramsay a god, I’m happy to continue to worship in my own little way!

Soon to Be Collectors Items – Photos with Gordon Ramsay

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

At the recent Golden Globe held at Gordon Ramsay at The London in West Hollywood, several sources are reporting that Gordon Ramsay will no longer pose for photos as a direct result of Sarah Symonds’ allegation of affairs that were levelled last year.

Maybe this just applies to one on one photos with women, and one reporter said that Gordon Ramsay pulled him into a photo with a fan – having the reporter standing between them.

The Daily Mail reporter states that Gordon Ramsay said to him “I’m not getting burnt again!”. He later clarified his position by stating that “As long as there’s a gap, they can’t take the photograph and say: “Oh look! Here I am with Gordon Ramsay. We had a fling!”

Gordon Ramsay was also reported to have to have once again denied the allegations of an affair. The Daily Mail again quotes Gordon Ramsay as saying “‘It never happened! It was completely made up,’ Ramsay insisted to me.
‘She set it up to make some money. I heard how she told her friends to “watch out” for a big story concerning her and the big story was her claims that we had an affair.
Not true! Not true for a minute!’ he told me as he greeted guests arriving for supper at the London.”

These comments are slightly more candid than the public (and extremely funny) rebuttals Gordon Ramsay produced at several cooking shows in the days after the story first broke last year.

That story can be viewed in the Plonker Club Archives, specifically in the blog section with the story ” The Story According to Gordon (Ramsay) – Well, sort of ….”

Obviously this has nothing to do with Gordon Ramsay himself, or currently accusations of affairs with Sarah Symonds, merely a result of the global economic crisis and a bunch of other economic stuff that I don’t understand.

In fact the Gordon Ramsay brand continues to be going strong with a new cookbook being released shortly on Pub Food, new Kitchen Nightmares being cast in the USA and several other unaired Gordon Ramsay television programs in the vault. This as well as plans for new Restaurants all across the world, including Australia and Gordon ramsay Plane Food being a hit (and another possible business franchise)

Will Ramsay Renew Wedding Vows as his Popularity Wanes?

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

Apparently ‘New Magazine’ (looks like the same OLD crap to me) is telling the world via an un-named source, that Tana and Gordon Ramsay will renew their wedding vows in the new year – as reported by the Sun newspaper (couldn’t find anything about it on their website).

They also report (oxymoron?) that Tana is cutting back her work television work in order to accompany Gordon to the USA for the next filming of Kitchen Nightmares, in order to spend quality time together.

Apparently that all this rag says on the matter, so don’t contribute to this second rate news cycle – no need to buy the mag and give them anymore money, you’ve got the “top secret” gossip already.

This story comes hot on the heels of another press release from www.shopperbonus.com.au that 37% of the 640 polled think less of Gordon Ramsay since the affair allegations. This report from another Australian source – newsmaker.com.au says that 4% like him a lot more! Should we even listen to a poll about 640 people who are members of a website dedicated to competitions and offers? They probably aren’t the target market for Gordon Ramsay Restaurants after all (the cookbook empire maybe – if they can get then cheap!!)

One source with slightly more pull (yes, pun intended), the Daily Star in the UK states that Gordon Ramsay is ranked second as a celebrity that Brits love to hate, a title which they accredit to claims of infidelity.

Hopefully that satisfies your appetite for the rest of the year for worthless unsubstantiated Gordon Ramsay Gossip??!!
