Top Quote – Ramsay’s previous interviews with Toronto’s own George Stroumboulopoulos cooked up much amusement—it turns out that Ramsay’s loose-tongued manner is not an act. He talks straight (and sometimes dirty) on his own eating habits, troubled boyhood and celebrity status. Perhaps this time, he will let loose on being cast as a Christian role model.

Here’s a heads up for people who buy Foodie magazines and may get sucked into this one because the name Gordon Ramsay appears on the cover!
The Food Magazine- Well Fed Network – USA
The story teasers on the front read like a who’s who of the culinary world: Mario Batali, Gordon Ramsay, Ina Garten, Nigella Lawson. … After reading through the whole issue, most of the recipes are reprints from coobooks. Gordon Ramsay’s “Healthy Appetite,” Nigella Lawson’s “Nigella Express: Good Food Fast,” and Ina Garten’s “Back to Basics.” There’s very little original recipe development in this publication. I don’t mean that as a criticism, necessarily; if you were considering one of these books for your collection, this magazine would give you access to a couple of recipes you could try for yourself, and then make your decision.

Top Quote – I cannot tell you how many sizzle reels there are of me falling from last season. In one clip, we were racing against the boys to complete a dinner service. I was bringing the last dessert order to the pass, and felt myself going down. I looked at the two items in my hand, a souffle and a creme brulee, and decided to save the souffle, as it took 20 minutes just to bake. The floor is treacherous. It is not like a real kitchen. It is more like industrial linoleum, where any water or food scrap is a potential hazard. You learn this as you advance in Hell’s Kitchen, and try to work around it. It just angers me that such a stupid accident took out one of this season’s strongest competitors so far.

The 10 Commandments According to Gordon Ramsay

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

I came across a strange article entitled “Let us F%$king Pray” about how one church is now using Gordon Ramsay’s life story to re-inforce the “word of god’. Have you ever met a religious person who couldn’t swing any story around to being a case for THEIR god?

The article appeared in Scotland on Sunday at the following link http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/uk/Let-us-f6437ing-pray-Ramsay.4911049.jp

While the article is somewhat funny (and doesn’t mention accusations by Sarah Symonds of infidelity) the highlight is the part on how to obey the laws of Gordon

Gordon Ramsay’s 10 Commandments:

1 In my kitchen you will do as you are f****** well told.

2 Thou shall not use my image (unless I have signed a five-year merchandising deal with your chief executive).

3 Do not claim anything in my shows was staged or I will sue thy sorry arse for all it is worth.

4 Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbour (unless it’s that bloody arse of a food critic AA Gill).

5 Thou shall not worship false gods like Delia Smith, Nigella Lawson or Heston Blumenthal.

6 Thou shall not refer me to as “craggy faced”. I’m rugged and manly.

7 Respect your elders, apart from that stuck-up old tart Joan Collins.

8 You may only curse or blaspheme on days of the week that end with a ‘y’.

9 Be respectful to vegetarians and always remove their sandals before basting them with brown sugar and serving them up for dinner.

10 Be kind to lesser beings. Dispatch cockroaches, snooping tabloid journalists and restaurant reviewers humanely.

The comments below are a little funny – and littered with bad arguement supporting why god exists (guess where I sit on this one!!) My favourite logical fallacy is the false Dichotomy – in this case if you can’t explain who X happened then it musy be (my) god.

Anyway while I stop short of calling Gordon Ramsay a god, I’m happy to continue to worship in my own little way!

Gordon Ramsay Donating Even More to Charity

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

Gordon Ramsay, has donated recipes to the Boundary Oak School project in order to raise money for charity. £2,500 for the school and £500 for the Rainbow Centre, a facility that helps youngsters with cerebral palsy.

The 80-page book is on sale from the school and the Rainbow Centre for £6, with £1 from each book going to the Rainbow Centre. People in Britain who wish to obtain a copy can call the school (01329) 280955.

One report accredited more to Gordon Ramsay than just donating recipes, he was also said to have recruited other high profile chefs (I won’t say celebrity chef – I know how much that pisses off Gordon Ramsay) which include Gary Rhodes, Nigella Lawson, Nick Nairn and Phil Vickery.

Gordon Ramsay has also done a bunch of other charity work and to summarise, I just lifted this from the very comprehensive Wikipedia page on Gordon Ramsay. Ramsay has been involved in a series of charitable events and organisations. Ramsay has run the London Marathon in 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2008 to support Tommy’s, the baby charity. Ramsay completed his third London Marathon on 22 April 2007, in 4 hrs 36 minutes 10 secs (3:46:10 in 2006).[58] In 2004, he and his wife, Tana, raised £14,000. Ramsay commented: “I’m proud to have run the Marathon for Tommy’s, the baby charity – their cause is one very close to my heart, especially as my own twins were born three weeks prematurely in 1999″.[13] He aims to complete ten marathons in consecutive years.

During March 2005 Ramsay teamed up with Indian chef Madhur Jaffrey to help the VSO, an international development charity group to support its Spice Up Your Life event. The charity hoped to raise £100,000 for VSO’s work in HIV and AIDS in India.[14] The Ramsays were the first couple to become ambassadors for the women’s charity Women’s Aid in 2005. The couple ran the Flora Families marathon [15] to support Women’s Aid.[16]

The Gordon Ramsay “Buy a Brick” appeal launched in September 2004 helped the Scottish Spina Bifida Association build a new Family Support Centre and Head Office in Glasgow. In November 2007 Ramsay hosted a St Andrew’s Day Gala Dinner at Stirling Castle in aid of the Association.

Gordon Ramsay – you are the man!
