Gordon Ramsay joined Jimmy Kimmel on his nightly show as part of his nationwide promotion for his new hit television show Masterchef (I’m still wondering why we haven;t seen the other chefs on the same junket?). Gordon Ramsay had previously mentioned how good a cook  Jimmy Kimmel is via Twitter with the following tweet “Off to see @jimmykimmel tonight, he’s actually a v. good chef, here’s my take on his delicious tomato sauce http://tiny.cc/gkdxx” was, so it was a little surprising not to see a cooking demonstration on the show – oh well it was still entertaining.

Gordon Ramsay Interview – Jay Leno August 4

Gordon Ramsay has once again appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Gordon Ramsay was involved with a little skit at the start of the show, and then appeared onstage 18:45 minutes into the show as the first guest to talk about Hell’s Kitchen and Masterchef (during the intro Jay Leno announced that Masterchef had the biggest premier of the summer).

In tonight’s performance, Jay immediately called Gordon out for his tweet “going on @jayleno tonight, love being on the show but my god he can’t cook! So tonight we’re going back to basics”. Read more…

Okay, now I’m getting excited, but maybe that’s just me, after all the only bits of American Idol that I watch are the tryouts – I love seeing people who suck, think they are amazing and get slammed back to reality!

Bring on Masterchef with the great Gordon Ramsay. Let’s hope they let us see the softer side of Chef Ramsay, like in the UK Kitchen Nightmares.

As Fox in the US continue to churn out double episodes of Hell’s Kitchen, it seems that we won’t be seeing back-to-back Gordon Ramsay as previously reported. For whatever reason it seems that the power that be at Fox think they won’t need to springboard Masterchef on the back of another hit show – and judging by the show’s popularity worldwide, they are probably right!
