As Fox in the US continue to churn out double episodes of Hell’s Kitchen, it seems that we won’t be seeing back-to-back Gordon Ramsay as previously reported. For whatever reason it seems that the power that be at Fox think they won’t need to springboard Masterchef on the back of another hit show – and judging by the show’s popularity worldwide, they are probably right! Check out the unofficial countdown for Masterchef on July 27!

Fox is expanding its line of Gordon Ramsay reality shows by giving a series order to Reveille’s “MasterChef.”

Ramsay will co-produce and star in the program, in which nonprofessional cooks compete to create perfect dishes. The project is based on a Shine TV format that’s popular in the U.K. and Australia. The show joins Ramsay’s other titles on Fox — “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Kitchen Nightmares” — and should keep Fox stocked with the temperamental chef’s reality fare nearly year-around. Read more…

Chef Robert Hesse of Quogue has made it through the first four elimination rounds of the Fox reality television series “Hell’s Kitchen” and will continue to compete for the grand prize, a head chef position at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City.
Each week, one chef is eliminated from the unscripted program hosted by hothead chef Gordon Ramsey. Though the chefs have varying degrees of experience, they are all passionate about their craft and determined to prove their culinary skill to Chef Ramsey.
In a previous interview, Mr. Hesse, who is a Quogue native and has worked at Q Restaurant East, said that he is confident he has what it takes to defeat the competition.
