Gordon Ramsay on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: gordon ramsay interviews

Here are the links to the videos from Gordon Ramsay’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Feb 25. The interview is in two parts and always Jimmy Kimmel was merciless with Gordon. Gordon Ramsay’s tweet after the show said “great time on jimmy kimmel last night, god he gives me shit but really good show” (you can follow Gordon @gordonramsay01).

They talk Kitchen Nightmares, truffles, marathon running, his weekly weigh-in courtesy of his wife Tana and Gordon was back to his bleeping best!

The youtube account only lets Americans watch the clips, so here’s the direct links to ABC where anyone can view them!

Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares USA on UK TV

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Kitchen Nightmares, gordon ramsay news, gordon ramsay television

The far inferior American sister show to Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, will air on Channel 4 Feb 12 at 9pm only weeks after the third season of series premiered in the USA. First to get the now reduced three day Gordon ramsay treatment is the Hot Potato Café in Fishtown, Philadelphia.

Watch at your own peril!

More Criticism of Kitchen Nightmares Format and Production

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Kitchen Nightmares, Main Content, gordon ramsay television

It’s no secret that I don’t like the US verison of Kitchen Nightmares – that much and now that the ‘visits’ seem to be cut down to three days in this third series – all of the goods bits have been stripped out. No more cooking lessons, looks at innovative promotional ideas and the other charms of the original UK version.

While unhappy restaurant owners aren’t anything new, here is something interesting from the owner of the restaurant which is to be featured this coming Friday – Paul Bazzini of Bazzini’s. He isn;t complaining about being mis-represented or unfairly targeted – he just wishes that he was a part of the makeover!

While he is very thankfully of the work done to secure the future of the family business but missed out on the face to face consultations we have grown to expect. He says that he spent “hours of the taping waiting off-site”, then simply led into his made-over kitchen to start service.

Part of the fun for me is watching Gordon teach the chefs, create recipes, work with kitchen staff etc but here is seems it is even artificial than I ever thought. As Bazzini said “you have no interaction with Ramsay at all. He comes with a very big machine of assistants and helpers. The only time that I ever spent any time with him was on camera.”

Very disappointing! Get the full story at http://theridgewoodblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/run-for-your-life-chef-gordon-ramsay.html

I’ll still watch the show, but remember it for what it used to be!

The Walnut Tree in was one of the original restaurants that Gordon Ramsay tried to makeover in the first series of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon Ramsay’s Business Woes and Plans for 2010

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: gordon ramsay news

In an article on the Business week website (much more reliable than and English Tabloid!) Gordon Ramsay talks candidly about how bad the last year had been financially, amazing considering how bad 2008 was for him!

In fact, the reality is that Gordon Ramsay’s troubles in 2009 flowed over directly from 2008 and opening eight restaurtants just prior to the global economic crisis (note: owning the restaurants – not just consulting like some of his contempories). This is the story of how Gordon Ramsay Holdings was advised to consolidate their debts and file for bankrupcy – something which Gordon said he would not agree to! Gordon spent the first 3 months of filming Hell’s Kitchen in the USA and then hours at night on the phone with business partner and father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, not to mention early morning runs to ‘burn off the stress!’.

The story also summaries Gordon Ramsay’s current status – twenty restuarants worldwide, five international television shows, twenty three cookbooks (and two biographies) in eighteen languages plus multiple endorsements.

The article also gives some insight into Gordon Ramsay’s television earnings
- In the UK £2 000 000 annually from Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word.
- £25 000 000 in UK cookbook sales.
- £3 000 000 in endorsements.
- $9 000 000 from US shows.
