Update on Gordon Ramsay’s Masterchef

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Hell's Kitchen, Masterchef, gordon ramsay television

A few more details for Gordon Ramsay’s new US show Masterchef have now been nailed down.

Apparently the show will air on a Thursday and will be piggybacking Hell’s Kitchen for part of it’s season (I can see the headlines now – stay in for Gordon Ramsay night on Fox) July 29 is the magic date, but it seems it will only air once per week (the Australian version on which it was based aired five days a week (from memory)).

Guest judges are Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot Bowles. (click on their individual names for wikipedia links – I have no idea who they are!)

Just a reminder Hell’s Kitchen starts June 10!

We have a countdown timer in the left hand column for Masterchef and Hell’s Kitchen Season 8.

Gordon Ramsay’s Business Woes and Plans for 2010

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: gordon ramsay news

In an article on the Business week website (much more reliable than and English Tabloid!) Gordon Ramsay talks candidly about how bad the last year had been financially, amazing considering how bad 2008 was for him!

In fact, the reality is that Gordon Ramsay’s troubles in 2009 flowed over directly from 2008 and opening eight restaurtants just prior to the global economic crisis (note: owning the restaurants – not just consulting like some of his contempories). This is the story of how Gordon Ramsay Holdings was advised to consolidate their debts and file for bankrupcy – something which Gordon said he would not agree to! Gordon spent the first 3 months of filming Hell’s Kitchen in the USA and then hours at night on the phone with business partner and father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, not to mention early morning runs to ‘burn off the stress!’.

The story also summaries Gordon Ramsay’s current status – twenty restuarants worldwide, five international television shows, twenty three cookbooks (and two biographies) in eighteen languages plus multiple endorsements.

The article also gives some insight into Gordon Ramsay’s television earnings
- In the UK £2 000 000 annually from Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word.
- £25 000 000 in UK cookbook sales.
- £3 000 000 in endorsements.
- $9 000 000 from US shows.

Great New Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen Teaser – The Confrontation!

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Hell's Kitchen, Main Content, The F Word, gordon ramsay television

Here’s a clip that is simply called ‘The Confrontation’. It features ex-marine Joseph offering to take Gordon Ramsay ‘Out into the Car Park’ after copping too much abuse. Of all the people in the show, one would have thought that a former soldier would be used to this (have you seen Full Metal Jacket??!!) – maybe that is why he is an ex-marine??

Enjoy the clip and don’t forget to enter the competition to win an autographed copy of Gordon Ramsay’s latest cookbook – Great British Pub Food – go to the Plonker Club Forums for more details by clicking here. I think picking the winner of Hell’s Kitchen for this great prize just got a little easier!

Enjoy!

Gordon Ramsay and Hell’s Kitchen USA are Back

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

It has been confirmed that the top rating show Hell’s Kitchen will be returning to television screens (not to mention youtube and torrent sites for all of us addicted overseas viewers!) in January of 2009.

According to the Fox website, Season 5 of Hell’s Kitchen will air Thursday January 29 at 9pm / 8pm Central Time

This show was apparently filmed right after the fourth season, and will air despite claims by some news outlets that reported shooting had been cancelled or postponed.

Casting for seasons 6 and 7 were held throughout the United States in October of this year and we can possibly expect to see another by the end of the year along with a new Kitchen Nightmares UK, Kitchen Nightmares USA and a new show called Man Camp.

Let’s hope that Gordon isn’t being overexposed (no pun intended!)
