In another hint of a new series of Gordon Ramsay’s best television show – Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, that is my hope and dream on the back of news of a revisit happening in April.

We know that at least two Kitchen Nightmares episodes became the Great British Nightmare as part of Channel 4′s Great British Food Fight and we can only hope more episodes were filmed. We now know that Gordon Ramsay will be returnng to see how Raz and The Curry Lounge are shaping up.

In an article on the ‘This is Nottingham’ website more is revealed about the process of getting Gordon Ramsay to come to the restaurant and the changes that were made.

All New Gordon Ramsay on UK Television – Great British Nightmare

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

Within a day of Gordon Ramsay bringing back Hell’s Kitchen to US audiences, he will be appearing on Channel 4 in the UK for Ramsay’s Great British Nightmare, which sees Gordon hits the streets, campaigning for viewers to eat locally.

I can only hope our UK cousins embrace torrents a little faster than they did with Cookalong Live. I didn’t see this fantastic Gordon Ramsay show for weeks after it aired. Shows from the US I can normally get within an hour of the show finishing – so get to work of English friends – so the rest of us can get our fix or Gordon Ramsay post haste!

This show is part of the Great British Food Fight (check out their very funny ad here ) and according to the Channel 4 website, in Ramsay’s Great British Nightmare, Gordon Ramsay will be campaigning for viewers to start patronising local restaurants. One that is featured, was part of the ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, fillmed in the middle of last year and hoepfully airing soon!

With a global, multi-million pound, restaurant empire and a constellation of Michelin stars under his belt, Gordon knows a thing or two about running a successful commercial kitchen. But other eateries are not so fortunate and, all too often, ambitious dreams turn to kitchen nightmares as the practicalities of getting punters in and keeping them loyal, prove too difficult to pull off.

Gordon’s brought his own brand of tough love to failing kitchens on both side of the Atlantic and tried to turn the fortunes of dozens of restaurants, from curry houses to soul-food shacks, by changing the way they’re managed.

This time it’s the diners he’s reaching out to, encouraging the man on the street to put his money where his hungry mouth is.

He will also be passing on tips to restaurant owners on how best to cope with the credit crunch.

Watch Ramsay’s Great British Nightmare, coming to Channel 4, Friday, 30th January, 9pm.

Two new Gordon Ramsay shows in one month (not including the stray Kitchen Nightmares Episode from the US) – this will be a great year. I wonder of Gordon has an special recipes to celebrate the Chinese year of the Ox?

Woo-hoo – New Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares UK – Yes, The Good One!

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

While reading between the lines on some old google alerts, I was ecstatic to discover that new episodes of my favourite television show, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares have already been made! Yes that is the UK edition and not the bastardised over-hyped, poorly edited, super predictable US version!

The report talked about how a restaurant that was ‘rescued’ four months ago had Gordon Ramsay there four months later (from mid-December) to shoot his part of The Great British Food Fight. the restaurant is Silversmiths Restaurant in Sheffield City.

I can’t wait until I can go back and see a Kitchen Nightmare where I can learn something about restaurants and maybe a recipe or two, not just hyped up confrontations, a contrived story line mixed with renovations and a happily-ever-after ending. Not to mention the editing of fights where the peoples clothes change colour as they appear to make a number of exchanges, just one – before the revalation occurs (midway through the final service). Add to this the American arrogance of inviting Gordon Ramsay to your restaurant, then telling him he can’t cook, doesn’t know what he is talking about and that there is no problems because all of the customers love whatever the offend dish/feature is.

I only really watch the show because I am a Gordon Ramsay fan, and occasionally the script isn’t followed to closely.

In case you can’t tell, I’m not a big fan of the cookie cutter US version, it is like a cross between Jerry Springer and a renovation show, with lots of spoilers and recaps to fill in the time!

I’ll email Channel 4 and Optomen to see if I can find out when we can expect this! There will definitely be a counter on The Plonker Club homepage for this one, similar to the one we have for Hell’s Kitchen USA Season 5!

2009 is already becoming a great year!

Gordon Ramsay in ANOTHER Food Fight

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

For the second time in as many years, reports are that Gordon Ramsay will be again involved in the Great British Food Fight.

The Channel 4 show from the UK will continue following the “eat ethically’ theme and will again feature Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver alongside Gordon Ramsay as well as the newest recruit -Heston Blumenthal.

Gordon Ramsay - Great British Food Fight

Gordon Ramsay’s contribution will be a call for Brits to start patronising local restaurants. Gordon will also be bringing his restaurant running experience to the aid of local eateries who are struggling with the current economic client. Unfortunately, it won’t be in time to save one of his Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’ restaurants who have already succombed. See Another Gordon Ramsay lover Goes Under for the details on that one!

Gordon Ramsay also Has another new showing coming in 2009 Ramsay’s Great British Nightmare, which sounds like it has a similar theme to his contribution to the aforementioned show. It may even be part of the show, the reports on the web and the Channel 4 site are a little confusing.

For a full wrap of the program and how the four star chefs will be contributing, go to the source – Channel 4 at their website.

The show airs in January and will no doubt be hitting the torrents and youtube shortly after, so the rest of the planet can enjoy it!
