He will be working closely with Mark Askew who has excelled as the Executive Chef of Gordon Ramsay Holdings over the past decade.

The new location at 1 Kinnerton Street in Knightsbridge will display a stunning open cellar in the centre of the dining room bringing to view over two thousand bottles of wine. Within the wine list will be thirty-four Pétrus vintages. Read more…

Gordon Ramsay to Open Two New Restaurants in Italy This Month

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content, gordon ramsay restaurants

Despite all of the news of Gordon Ramsay’s now public financial woes, his plan for world culinary domination continues with reports that he will be opening two new restaurants in what is arguable the food capital of the world (I don’t like French food!) – Italy.

The Castel Monastero Hotel in Tuscany, which has survived since the 11th Century, will soon host a fine dining Gordon Ramsay restaurant – to be set in the courtyard of the 76 room Hotel. It will be managed by Gordon Ramsay Holdings – much like Gordon Ramsay’s Paris and Los Angeles establishments – a change deemed economically necessary during the consolidation last year. The official Gordon Ramsay website pulls out the thesaurus on this one, describing the Castel Monastero’s setting as one which “infuses a sense of noble grace upon the gorgeous Ombrone Valley, a unique corner of the world filled with Chianti vines, corn fields, chestnut forests and long rows of cypress trees.”

Their website does have some amazing photos on it! Check it out at http://www.castelmonastero.com

Anyone wishing to reserve their seat can make contact via the following methods
Address: Castel Monastero
Monastero d’Ombrone 19

53019
CASTELNUOVO BERARDENGA
SI – ITALY
Tel: +39 070 9218222 Fax: +39 070 9218002
info@castelmonastero.com

You can also get specific information on the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant at http://www.castelmonastero.com/gordon-ramsay-en.html

The Forte Village resort in southern Sardinia, will be the site of the second Gordon Ramsay Restaurant. It looks almost as beautiful as Castel Monastero – as seen at http://www.fortevillageresort.com/en. Click on the ‘gallery section to see how pretty this seaside resort really is. The details on this Gordon Ramsay venture are a little thin – it isn’t even mentioned on his official website (but we gave up long ago hoping to get all of our Gordon Ramsay news from there!). Luckily the local Italian site does have a page for the new dining experience and is probably your best place to get information – http://www.fortevillageresort.com/en/forte-resort-sardinia/dining-sardinia/gordon-ramsay

Both restaurants will follow the Gordon Ramsay mantra of highlighting the best of local produce and keep with local customs!

Add them to your itinerary next time you are in Italy!

So did Gordon Ramsay ever play for Rangers? – Reuters UK – UK
LONDON (Reuters) – Chef Gordon Ramsay has admitted there may have been “inaccuracies” in accounts of his football-playing past after a weekend newspaper report said he had lied about appearing for Rangers.
The News of the World said Ramsay, 42, never actually signed for the Glasgow club and questioned whether he had ever played in the first team.
The article quoted Ramsay — one of the world’s most famous chefs who runs a string of acclaimed restaurants and appears on reality television cooking shows — as telling a radio show in 2002 that he played three first-team games.

Knox told a Sunday newspaper: “The first time I ever saw Gordon Ramsay was in 1996 when he launched his first book. But he didn’t know me from Adam because we’ve never met.”
The only evidence of Ramsay’s Rangers career is a photo in his book of him in a Rangers squad which also included Rangers legend Ally McCoist.
However Allan Cairns, the photographer who took the picture in September 1985, said the photo was not one of Rangers first team but a side picked to play a testimonial match.

Is Gordon Ramsay Leaving Prague?

Author: Gordon Ramsay Unofficial Fansite  //  Category: Main Content

An article the Prague Daily Monitor – says yes!

I can’t wait until the Trashy Press gets this article and uses it to fuel the ‘Gordon Ramsay’ is going broke line of crap that they have all been towing lately. Business isn’t good, it’s time to consolidate and cut some losses – it doesn’t mean the ship is sinking!

Gordon Ramsay opened ‘Maze’ in Prague in November 2007 and the article reports that a lack of customers may have been the reason for the ‘revision of business relations’ despite a quote from the chef stating “We do not have fewer customers than our competition. Maze looks empty because it has a greater number of tables.”
