A Current Affair showed how trashy their reporting really is in the latest Gordon Ramsay Video Clip – you couldn’t even call it journalism. Gordon Ramsay insults a weather person for getting the weather wrong – and A Current Affair try to take the high ground saying that he insults women – give me a break – this is an ambulance chasing, two bit television show that no one considers real journalism – just sensationalist garbage.
Why was no one defending Suzanne Boyle when Gordon Ramsay sledged her?
Why was no one answering Gordon Ramsay’s claim that he didn’t call her a lesbian?
No mention of one of the other clips from the Good Food and Wine Festival where Gordon Ramsay says he is love with Tracey Grimshaw and has been for years – (that comment doesn’t fit with the other cheery-picked one demonising Gordon and pitting him against Tracey Grimshaw!)
And that stupid woman from Channel Seven’s Today Tonight chasing Gordon Ramsay looking for a controversial quote – “What are you going to call me?” – paparatzi gone mad! They stoop even lower by digging up the alledged mistress and asking her what she thinks – she thinks she wants to be in front of the camera again (and now it turns out she is launching a business and website)!
Here’s the video clip – vintage A Current Affair – with Tracey at the helm
Here are the interviews (or links to them when clips are not available) for all of the Gordon Ramsay interviews since he arrived in Australia five days ago. Gordon arrived on Thursday for the Good Food and Wine Festival in Melbourne and has a host of other engagements as well as a holiday with his wife Tana planned over the next month – culminating in his appearance and Sydney’s Good Food and Wine Festival. His interviews have caused some controversy – but not as much as his comments during his live cooking demonstrations!
Gordon Ramsay’s Sort of Press Conference for Good Food and Wine Show Melbourne
Just as I predicted, Gordon Ramsay well and truly met his match when appearing on Rove Live in Australia on Sunday night. Gordon’s ‘shock and awe’ tactics of swearing and then sledging the host (which have served him so well in Australia to date) didn’t work with Rove McManus as he constantly ‘one-upped’ the celebrity chef at almost every opportunity.
From the outset, as is typical, Gordon Ramsay instantly went after Rove’s short stature, but since this isn’t a sore point for Rove – the comments and swearing didn’t rattle him, and Rove just went along with it, as well as joining in. The host swearing back at the star of Hell’s Kitchen actually slowed Ramsay down a little – and he never recovered! The first instance was very soon after the interview started, with Gordon talking about his big feet, and Rove’s golden comeback was ‘do you have a big dick?’ Rove even went for the jugular a few times bringing up the controversy around comments made about Tracey Grimshaw, who had interviewed him days earlier.
The host had also done his homework, knowing that Gordon Ramsay hates being called a celebrty chef! Just to note, their wasn’t any bleeping when the showed aired!
It is a great interview, lots of fun watching the two pros battle it out. Here is the video, it runs for about eight minutes. If you then follow the link to the host’s homepage – www. rovedaily.com.au you can also view some of the out-takes and behind the scenes stuff.
Gordon Ramsay was forced to defend alleged statements that he made about interviewer Tracey Grimshaw after her interview with him aired on Friday night in Australia. Media outlets have gone wild with various quotes from the Great Chef which apparently were made during his cooking demonstrations at the Good Food and Wine Festival, aimed at his host who he did take the mickey out of a little during the interview.
On both interviews today he was forced in some small way to clarify that he was just joking with a friend (Tracey Grimshaw – the show host) despite allegedly being called by the head of Channel Nine. As usual a bunch of people at the show expressed their outrage at what Gordon said at the live cooking demonstrations, some silly enough to claim that their children were offended (why would they bring them along knowing what the language was probably going to be like – let alone pay at least $25 a head for the pleasure)?
Channel Nine were equally as hypocritical by actually airing the interview on Sunday morning and then talking amongst themselves about the outrage over what Gordon Ramsay allegedly said. If they were really that concerned they wouldn’t have aired any more interviews – the love the hype an controversy more than gordon himself.
As soon as the interviews are available on the websites, we will post the links!
In this surprisingly frank interview, Gordon Ramsay talks about his personal and private short-comings. He gives some insight about hwo tough the last twelve months have been and appears to be allowing indirect questions about how he has been affected by some of the controversy. Gordon Ramsay also answers tough questions – such as has his celebrity gotten in the way of his business, claims of arrogance and being stretched too thin.
Gordon Ramsay also talks about his upcoming ‘Maze’ restaurant in Melbourne, on the back of his extremely successful South African launch and speaks about how he has released spies throughout Sydney and Melbourne to research what is currenlty working terms of food and wine locally.
Gordon talks about the frank discussion he had with his wife Tana Ramsay, about continuously putting money into the business and how he had to consolidate in order to save the business (other reports said that he had sold one of his cars – reminisent of a Kitchen Nightmares Episode!). He says that he uses his success on his television shows to fund his business (he mentioned earning a $250,000 an hour when talking about Hell’s Kitchen) and in short it was a great interview.
He also had a quite crack at the host, as has now become part of his normal routine! He also says the he hasn’t changed in his flirtatious ways despite the past twelve months!
