In a very short segment, Gordon Ramsay took the bull by the bollocks and tried to once again teach Conan O’Brien how to cook!
Gordon Ramsay was a guest on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and along with another guest Norm Macdonald, managed to once again providing more entertainment than an entire US Kitchen Nightmares Episode.
If the same competition was run for this show, as was run for Gordon Ramsay’s appearance on ‘The Hour’ in Canada, the winner would have had to have guessed about 35 seconds before the first swear words. In the end, the language came from both guests – and Conan played it up well! Below is the link for people in North America to watch it, but here is some of the best quotes form the all-too-short piece.
In relation to the f-words flowing (and beeped out) between the two guests;
Conan “Seven minutes of audio will play of this whole hour between you two guys”
After both Conan and Norm were copping a spray from Gordon Ramsay
Norm “Why would you become a cook
Gordon Ramsay “Hey Big Boy The word is chef – ladies cook”
The crowd started to turn at this stage and Gordon responded with a jerking off motion!
Conan “We can bleep out the swears, but with this waving around, we can’t do anything”
Gordon said he was waving!
In response to even more swearing
Conan “None of this will air! This will be seen by nobody”
Great skit, check it out by any means possible – the legal version for North americans would be at

The French Michelin guide will be released in a few weeks and already we know that Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant Le Trianon in Versailles now has two stars, even more amazing is that it has only been open for less than a year.
I can’t work out from the story if the restaurant had one already (obviously not if they are announced annually) since their running total of stars for Gordon Ramsay is 12 – I do some digging around, as I thought Gordon Ramsay already had 12 worldwide??
Instead of me regurgitating the story, go stright to the source More Michelin Stars for Gordon Ramsay

Just a quick note to tell everyone to watch Late night with Conan O’Brien on NBC tonight as Gordon Ramsay will be his guest – promoting the book just released in North America (and a year old everywhere else!) Gordon Ramsay’s Healthy Appetite
Past interviews have been fantastic – I wonder if Conan will slip in any comments which are meant to be off the record??

Last week a strange article appeared in Lifestyle section of an Australian paper. The article was basically about how “a celebrated Enoggera chef has laid down the gauntlet to take on fire-breathing Gordon Ramsay at his new restaurant planned for Melbourne in November”? Obviously he is talking about the new edition of Maze by Gordon Ramsay due to be at Croewn Casino by February 2010 and rumours of a Hell’s Kitchen series in Australia to find a chef for that location.
The article goes on to talk a little about his Queensland restaurant (it may have just been a promotional piece using Gordon Ramsay as the catchy theme?) and how he would juggle the two if he won the competition.
As I have written before, I haven’t been able to find anyone who will give details about the alleged television show, from Channel 9 to Gordon Ramsay’s publicity people in the UK nor Optomen Television, who produce Gordon Ramsay’s Television shows.
I rang Jason McCormick at Cafe Fuscia in Enoggera, Queensland and he said that he couldn’t confirm anything to a complete stranger over the phone – which is fair enough. So I am afraid that this is where the trail went cold.
Judge for yourselves how serious that you think the article and Chef Jason McCormick is by checking out the article at Chef Ready for Challenge
Still no closer to the truth – well maybe a tiny bit?
