Sarah Symonds Following my Gordon Ramsay Fansite on Twitter
While doing some internet marketing for The Plonker Club – The Unofficial Gordon Ramsay Fansite, I’ve been using a Twitter tool with which I type in a keyword and it finds people who have that same word associated with their account. Imagine my surprise when I wake up this morning to find the program had not only signed me up to a Sarah Symonds Twitter feed, but this person had consequently signed up to follow the Plonker Club Twitter feed (which can be found at http://twitter.com/ThePlonkerClub). I checked and it contained a photo of THE Sarah Symonds and some of her tweets suggest that it is really her (tweets about upcoming interviews, a link to her website etc).
Here are the interviews (or links to them when clips are not available) for all of the Gordon Ramsay interviews since he arrived in Australia five days ago. Gordon arrived on Thursday for the Good Food and Wine Festival in Melbourne and has a host of other engagements as well as a holiday with his wife Tana planned over the next month – culminating in his appearance and Sydney’s Good Food and Wine Festival. His interviews have caused some controversy – but not as much as his comments during his live cooking demonstrations!
Gordon Ramsay’s Sort of Press Conference for Good Food and Wine Show Melbourne
In the press conference, Gordon Ramsay appears all business, not the usual jovial Gordon! We later learned that the star of Kitchen Nightmares had a bout of food poisoning to go along with jet lag and thus couldn’t attend a function on Thursday regarding the launch of Maze in Melbourne next year. HE did inspect the restaurant which will be opened next year and is said to be happy with the progress (what could they have done??)
Reports state that Tana Ramsay will be joining her husband in Queensland, although her recently broken wrist may change her plans!
Gordon Ramsay is the headline chef, attracting a surcharge to see him at the Good Food and Wine Show this year.
We’ll be hearing a lot more from Gordon Ramsay while in Australia for the next month, here is the rather subdued press conference to kick of his national tour!

Gordon Ramsay, as part of his Tour Down Under will be appearing on Channel Nine’s Today show on Friday morning, from the Melbourne Food and Wine festival. No doubt that he will have the censors on the edge of their seats. Here is what happened last time!
Gordon Ramsay will also be appearing live on variety show ‘Rove Live’ on Channel Ten, we’ll provide links if they are made publically available!

2009 may see Gordon Ramsay giving free cooking lessons in the USA and Australia and everyone is invited!
I was going back through some old emails and I can’t believe I missed this one. A few different sources, including Variety Magazine – spoke about a Live Cooking show coming up on Fox in 2009.
Apparently it will be modelled on Cookalong Live – a pet project of Gordon Ramsay that is at the core of his effort to get people back into the kitchen and cooking. This is also a resounding theme of his other popular show – The F-Word, Season 3 of which will be showing in the US on BBC America, Wednesday January 14 at 3pm.

Check it out and discover how you can learn to cook seven three course dishes in under an hour and have a bunch of fun at the same time. The scenes of Gordon going undercover to road test other top chef’s cooking classes is gold, as is himg oing into different kitchen to learn new skills – like making noodles, lamb kebabs and naan bread.
It’s a great show and I can’t wait until it comes down under!
