The plan is to have the vodcast released weekly and keep the world up to date with all things Gordon Ramsay! Check it out at youtube – the audio version will shortly be released on iTunes and a bunch of other Podcast aggregators – look out for it

Gordon Ramsay is about to embark on a nationwide tour of Australia, making an unprecidented number of appearances and no doubt dropping an equal number of swear words during live media interviews over the next month! Gordon ramsay headlines both the Sydney and Melbourne Food and Wine Festivals, where organisers will be slugging Gordon Ramsay fans an extra fee to see the great chef demonstrate his cooking skills! VIP packages with less than current Gordon Ramsay cookbooks will also be part of VIP packages cost around $100!

Other events that Chef Ramsay be appearing at are chairy and celebratory dinners in Sanctuary Cove, Queensland and Perth, Western Australia – which will cost even more to secure, but will get you food cooked (or at least designed and supervised) by the internationally renowned master.

I’ve just watched the finale of Hell’s Kitchen season Five courtesy of some friendly torrents – I won’t put a spoiler in here for a few days but did anyone see the woman with the short blonde hair eating??

Is this Sarah Symonds??

She looked a hell of a lot like Sarah Symonds (the woman who accused Chef Ramsay of infidelity) although it didn’t sound like an English accent- What do you all think??

I’ve always believed that Kitchen Nightmares shows the true Gordon Ramsay – someone who loves food and loves to help other people who share his passion. Although the US version of the show is very contrived and the editing apalling (ok, I’ll stop now) it is my favourite Gordon Ramsay Television show (the UK version anyway!)

The new series of Kitchen Nightmares USA is currently being filmed in New York and as part of the now familiar relaunch, Gordon Ramsay appeared on a local New York television station to promote the relaunch, publicise the restaurant which he loves and promote the two owners who joined him on the show! While they did mention the upcoming Hell’s Kitchen Finale, Gordon did spend most of the time talking up the restaurant and its owners.

The interviewer also had a great approach to Gordon, although he had a stream of one liners for her and her staff to put them in their place – in the nicest possible way!

No, this has nothing to do with all of the controversy that has hounded Gordon Ramsay for the past six months! No Gordon Ramsay isn’t doing a runner to avoid business or personal stress! This is another short television series featuring the great man.

As reported earlier this year on the Plonker Club, Gordon Ramsay travelled to India to further challenge his palate and cooking ability and it has now been confirmed that ‘Gordon’s Great Escape’ is ‘in the can’ (meaning it has been filmed not in the toilet!) and may be slotted for airing later this year.

According to the press release on the Optomen website, the new series will be three sixty minute episodes and see Gordon Ramsay travelling from India’s Royal palace in Rajasthan to the Mumbai slums. Chef Ramsay will also be catering for 1,100 guests at a wedding in Lucknow and working with young chefs on a pantry car aboard a train. He will also taste seafood curries in Kerala and learn how a lack of water has influenced cooking techniques in Rajasthan.

Now doubt this culinary tour of India will occur at Gordon Ramsay’s infamous breakneck pace as it was also described as his “most high-octane and demanding adventure yet”. We are used to seeing Chef Ramsay pushing the limits in the numerous challenges he set for himself in Cookalong Live UK last year and no doubt that this will be more of the same!

The press release also quoted the commissioning editor as saying that Gordon’s Great Escape “will take him well out of his comfort zone – a genuine busman’s holiday in which he’ll work his way through the stunning scenery, go to dangerous extremes in pursuit of ingredients, and recharge his culinary batteries in the process.”
