A few more details for Gordon Ramsay’s new US show Masterchef have now been nailed down.
Apparently the show will air on a Thursday and will be piggybacking Hell’s Kitchen for part of it’s season (I can see the headlines now – stay in for Gordon Ramsay night on Fox) July 29 is the magic date, but it seems it will only air once per week (the Australian version on which it was based aired five days a week (from memory)).
In January we learned of “Gordon Ramsay’s Best Restaurant” (click here for more details), then Gordon filmed a new series of Hell’s Kitchen and is about to embark on Masterchef in the US. Well it seems that UK viewers have two more Gordon Ramsay TV series coming their way this year, courtesy of Channel 4, according to the C21 media site.
The announced Ramsay’s Best Restaurant will air in the British Autumn and will be a twelve part series.
The surprising news is a new series of Gordon Ramsay’s Great Escape. On the back of a lukewarm reception for the Indian adventures (and associated cookbook, of course!) this four part series will see Gordon Travelling throughout Asia.
The final show will be Gordon Ramsay’s Ultimate Christmas, which will be two sixty minute episodes.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available!

We now have some more information on the new Gordon Ramsay television show, courtesy of a representative from Optomen Television. Gordon Ramsay’s new television show is called Ramsay’s Best Restaurants and at this stage the only information that they are giving away is the entry page on the Channel 4 website that we alluded to last month and the twitter address for the new show – which is RamsaysBestRest (click for the link).
The criteria for nominating your favourite restaurant in the UK is only that the restaurant be independently owned and preferably one without awards such as Michelin stars or AA Rosettes. The judging criteria for nominess is based on quality food, quality of service, passion and pride of owners plus their ability to go above and beyond for their patrons. Restaurants should have at least two chefs, no criminal record (or charges pending) and obviously be available and agree to terms and conditions of shooting schedule (which to date hasn’t been named).
