Gordon Ramsay on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Gordon Ramsay joined Jimmy Kimmel on his nightly show as part of his nationwide promotion for his new hit television show Masterchef (I’m still wondering why we haven;t seen the other chefs on the same junket?). Gordon Ramsay had previously mentioned how good a cook Jimmy Kimmel is via Twitter with the following tweet “Off to see @jimmykimmel tonight, he’s actually a v. good chef, here’s my take on his delicious tomato sauce http://tiny.cc/gkdxx” was, so it was a little surprising not to see a cooking demonstration on the show – oh well it was still entertaining.

The interview was entertaining as always, Gordon Ramsay with his stories, jokes about the host’s weight (which usually puts them on the back foot) and asking if the audience are vegetarians. As always, it seemed that when the hosts get on with Gordon, they get so side tracked with stories, they ended up rushing through the “point” of the interview.

Regardless your can check out the clips below, ABC graciosuly allow the clips to be viewed anywhere in the world. Highlights included Jimmy Kimmel’s question to Gordon Ramsay in response to this picture Gordon posted on twitter while on holidays with the family.

This picture prompted Jimmy Kimmel to Ask Gordon Ramsay how he would prepare this!

Tana Ramsay also copped a ribbing regarding her best selling cookbook (competing directly with her husband’s!) and Gordon explained the dynamic of having two kitchens in the house. It was also interesting to hear Gordon Ramsay agree that he wasn’t the “mean” chef on this show, and also admitting that the show really was “Chef Idol!”

Once again for those playing the swear game, Gordon Ramsay was first bleeped about two minutes in!
