Hell’s Kitchen Vs – New iPhone App

The popular Hells Kitchen games, brought to you, as always, by video game company Ludia – has a new incarnation – Hell’s Kitchen Vs. The game appeared in the iTunes stored on August 9. At the time of writing, Hell’s Kitchen Vs is available at 40% for $2.99 and can be found via iTunes or your app store! Thankfully I could buy this version in the Australian iTunes store, unlike the previous iPhone and iTouch version! This version is available on iPhone, iPad and Ipod Touch.

Go Head to Head with Friends in Hell’s Kitchen Vs

The main feature of this new Hell’s Kitchen Vs game is the ability to go head to head with your friends in the kitchen. Your phones connect via bluetooth and then you battle your friends punching out a pre-determined number of tickets with a level of difficulty that you also select before starting the game! It comes with all of the trademark Gordon Ramsay quotes as did previous Hell’s Kitchen games – but I still would like to see a cracked version with a “swearing patch” added!

Hell’s Kitchen Vs – Game Review

Hell’s Kitchen Vs is very simple and having never played the original iPhone version, I must say isn’t as engaging without having the dining room as well.As you would expect, it is not the fastest chef who wins, but the one with the best quality food (measured by collecting stars) once either player has completed all of their tickets!

The two player mode is new, the single player “arcade mode” of Hells Kitchen Vs has you simply trying to gain as many stars (gained by timely completion of tickets) as possible before Chef Gordon Ramsay shuts down the kitchen.

The touch screen is a little more annoying than the mouse – maybe just my PC bias showing through?? Yes the previous version of Hells Kitchen was much more fun, balancing the kitchen and dining room – but I will still no doubt have many more hours of enjoyment, showing anyone who challenges me that I really am virtually the best chef in Hell’s Kitchen!

Still good value and hours of fun for only a few dollars!
