Gordon Ramsay is back for a fifth season with one of his most popular television series – The F Word in November.

As with seasons past, competitors will be cooking in his kitchen each week and this year, hoping to make the final for a yet unknown prize. These competitors will be made up of chefs and owners from top restaurants (as voted by the public) for the past few months. This ’support your local restaurant’ theme has been popular with Gordon Ramsay in years past and never more than during the current ‘credit crunch’ and will no doubt give some struggling restaurants some much needed publicity and highly qualified referrals.

F Word regular, Janet Street-Porter, will once again feature regularly and this time has been given the task of selecting and raising three different types of animals in order to provide for the Season Finale’s ‘Mixed Grill’.

As in previous series, Gordon Ramsay will also be putting his culinary credibility on the line by going up against a celebrity cooking their favourite dish and asking a number of dinners to blindly vote on their favourite.

Season Five of the F Word starts Tuesday 3rd November on Channel 4, make sure you check out the great promo video on their official website.
