‘Seriously Good’ is a line of sauces designed by Gordon Ramsay in order to help out one of the numerous charities that he supports. The products will help to fund the charity ‘Comic Relief’ and of the recommended £1.89 per 350g jar, 10p of every sale goes directly to charity and exactly zero dollars go the Gordon Ramsay himself!

The idea behind the sauces was to provide funding 12 months a year to the charity and the selection of the five different sauces and their rich, intense flavours (which can be served with meat, fish, vegetables or pasta) was to similarly be popular year round. The website also provides recipes to go along with each of the sauces. They are;

Cherry Tomato and Balsamic – which has been matched with a Baked Haddock recipe.
Bolognaise and Red Wine – which has been paired with Cod or Pollock.
Wild Mushroom and Mascarpone – sounds delicious with Meatballs
Tomato, Black Olive and Mixed Herb – recommended with a Herby Chicken recipe.
Spicy Red Pepper and Spinata Sausage – will top off the Baked Sausages.

This is what Gordon himself said about the product in the press release “The sauces are phenomenal, there’s no two ways about it. We’ve created a range inspired by the Mediterranean using only top quality ingredients. We’ve combined them in an inventive and exciting way to produce rich, intense flavours that you will love. I don’t do anything by halves but don’t take my word for it – just put one into your trolley and you’ll be helping Comic Relief”.

The pairing of Comic Relief and cooking is clearly one that sits well with Gordon and his sense of humour. Not one to shy away from taking the mickey out of himself, everything from the ad, to almost every feature of the website is sure to make you chuckle!

The website www.seriouslygood.com also features animations of Gordon Ramsay on each bottle and moving your mouse over each of the Gordon Ramsay bottles (my favourite is the Cherry Tomato and Balsamic gag) , gives you a good giggle! Even just leaving the window open in the background results in some heavy breathing!

The website will soon be featuring an iPhone application that  allows you to get a reaction for Gordon by turning his upside down, shaking him not to mention poking him!
